Common questions
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions run through your app store account, not through us, so we cannot cancel one for you. The way there is short:
- iPhone: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → snusQuit → Cancel Subscription
- Android: play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions → snusQuit → Cancel subscription
Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and everything stays unlocked until then. Lifetime access is a one-time purchase and does not need cancelling.
I have a new phone. What happens to my progress?
Two things come back separately.
Your purchase: open the paywall screen in the app and tap Restore purchase. Use the same Apple or Google account you bought it with.
Your history: that comes back through your operating system's device backup, so iCloud or Android Auto Backup, provided it is switched on. Because snusQuit runs without a server, we hold no copy of your data and cannot restore it for you.
How do I start over?
There is a Restart option at the bottom of the Profile tab. You have to type the word RESTART to confirm, because it cannot be undone: your grip, your streak and every day you logged are erased. A purchase you have made is not affected.
I am not getting the reminder
The daily reminder is off by default. You can turn it on in the Profile tab under Daily reminder. It arrives at 7pm, and only if the day has not been closed out yet.
If the switch will not stay on, the device has denied permission for notifications. That can only be granted again in system settings: Settings → snusQuit → Notifications.
I was away for a few days. Are those days lost?
No. The next time you open the app it asks whether you want to fill the missed days in. Days you leave open count neither as clean nor against you — they stay blank. You can also fill in individual days from the calendar at any time.
What is free and what costs money?
The whole app is free to begin with. It only starts costing once both are true: 8 calendar days have passed since your first day and you have been active on at least 5 of them. If you showed up less often, it stays free until that is met too. From then on, logging new days needs a subscription or the one-time lifetime unlock.
Either way your calendar and history stay readable, and the breathing exercise in the Calm tab stays free permanently.
Where is my data stored?
On your device. There is no user account, no sign-up and no server anything is sent to — your entries never reach us.
There is one exception, and it is yours to control: if your operating system's device backup is switched on, meaning iCloud or Android Auto Backup, your data is included in it. That backup sits in your Apple or Google account, not with us, and it can be switched off in system settings. The details are in the privacy policy.
I found a bug, or I have an idea
Both are welcome. Write to info@snusquit.com and mention your device model and which version of iOS or Android it runs, if you can. It saves a round trip.
