This privacy policy informs you about the nature, scope and purpose of the processing of personal data on this website in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
This is a courtesy translation. The legally binding version is the German Datenschutzerklärung.

Alexander Bosacki
c/o IP-Management #11224

Email: info@snusquit.com
2. General information on data processing
We only process personal data insofar as this is necessary to provide a functioning website as well as our content and services, or insofar as you have given your consent. Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
This website is accessible worldwide. Regardless of the country you access it from, we process your data in accordance with the GDPR. If you are located outside the European Union, please note that your data is processed on servers located within the European Union (see the Hosting section).
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is operated on a server hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. The server is located in Germany (EU).
When you access this website, the server automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files. This may include:
- the IP address of the accessing device, truncated by its last octet
(so
203.0.113.45becomes203.0.113.0); the full IP address is not stored - date and time of access
- the page accessed / file requested
- the amount of data transferred and notification of successful retrieval
- browser type and version, operating system used, referrer URL
This data is not merged with other data sources. Processing is carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest in the technically error-free and secure operation of the website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Log files are stored for security reasons for 14 days and then deleted.
4. Waitlist sign-up
On this website you can join a waitlist with your email address in order to be notified once snusQuit is available.
4.1 Data processed
When you sign up, we process the email address you enter. To protect against abuse, we also process the time of sign-up and a technically shortened or hashed (non-identifying) representation of your IP address.
4.2 Double opt-in
Sign-up uses the double opt-in procedure. After you submit the form, you will receive an email asking you to confirm your sign-up. Your email address is only added to our waitlist after you click the confirmation link. This ensures the sign-up actually came from you.
4.3 Legal basis
The legal basis for processing is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR in conjunction with § 7 (2) no. 3 of the German Act Against Unfair Competition (UWG). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. An unsubscribe link is included in every information or promotional email we send you; alternatively you can contact us at the email address above.
4.4 Email service provider: Brevo (processor)
To manage the waitlist and send confirmation and information emails, we use the service Brevo. The provider is
Sendinblue SAS (trading as "Brevo")
7 rue de Madrid
75008 Paris, France
Brevo processes the data on our behalf within the European Union. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Brevo pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Brevo processes the transmitted data (in particular your email address) solely to carry out the waitlist mailing and not for its own purposes.
For more information on data protection at Brevo, see: https://www.brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy/
4.5 Storage period
We store your email address until you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent, or until the purpose of the waitlist no longer applies (e.g. because the product has launched and the waitlist is dissolved). After withdrawal, your address is removed from the mailing list.
5. Fonts (self-hosted)
This website uses the "Inter" font, which is hosted locally on our server. No data is transferred to third parties (such as Google Fonts) for this purpose; no connection to external servers is established when loading the fonts.
6. Cookies and tracking
This website currently uses no cookies and no tracking or analytics services. No non-essential cookies are set and no user behaviour is analysed for advertising or analytics purposes.
6.1 Audience measurement (visitor count)
To learn how often this website is visited, we count page views. This is done solely by evaluating the server log files described in section 3, in which IP addresses are already stored in truncated form. Only aggregate figures are retained (e.g. page views and an estimated visitor count per day). No cookies are set, no information is stored on or read from your device, no data is passed to third parties, and no user profiles are created. We are not able to link any of it to you personally. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in privacy-friendly audience measurement (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
7. Your rights as a data subject
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
- Right to withdraw consent given (Art. 7 (3) GDPR)
To exercise your rights, an informal message to info@snusquit.com is sufficient.
8. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
Without prejudice to any other remedy, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data violates the GDPR (Art. 77 GDPR). The competent authority includes the supervisory authority of your habitual place of residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement, as well as the German state data protection authority responsible for us. A list of the German supervisory authorities with contact details is available at bfdi.bund.de.
9. Data security
For security reasons, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by "https://" in your browser's address bar. We also take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
10. Changes to this privacy policy
We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy so that it always complies with current legal requirements or to reflect changes to our services. The new privacy policy will then apply to your next visit.
